Cruiser is $19.99 per year, billed annually. The value case is not “another weather app.” It is one durable record that helps prevent missed service, duplicate parts purchases, lost receipts and incomplete trip history.
Why annual-only?
Boat ownership is seasonal, but the vessel record is not. Maintenance history, winter work, documents and inventory remain valuable through haul-out. Annual billing matches that continuity and avoids a cycle where a logbook disappears from the workflow every autumn.

Will the free tier expire?
No. Anchor is intended to remain a permanent free plan.
Can I pay monthly?
No. Cruiser is annual-only at $19.99 per year.
Is there still an up-front app purchase?
No. The download purchase price was removed. BoatWorks Pro is a free download with subscriptions inside the app.
What happens to my records if I stop subscribing?
Your records are not deleted. Features above the free allowance may become read-only or limited, while the underlying vessel history remains safe. And because that history lives on your device and in your own private iCloud rather than on a BoatWorks server, it was never ours to hold hostage — your data is yours, in full, whether or not you ever subscribe.
Does every crew member pay?
No. Cruiser’s sharing model is designed so the vessel owner covers the shared boat; invited crew do not need a separate subscription for that shared record.
