A logbook designed for boating, not workouts
Generic GPS trackers answer distance and speed. A vessel log also needs to explain what the boat was doing: moored, anchored, adrift, sailing, motor-sailing or motoring. That context makes the route intelligible months later.
Export a useful record
PDF logbook exports combine the written entry with route and map context. They are easier to hand to a co-owner, technician or future buyer than a collection of screenshots.
Offline where the trip happens
Core entries and locally stored records remain available without cell service. Live map tiles, forecasts and cloud updates require connectivity, but recording the vessel’s history should not depend on marina Wi-Fi.
Connected instruments are the next layer
The coming Commodore tier connects to an NMEA 0183 feed over TCP or UDP. It can add position, speed, course, heading, true wind, depth and water temperature to captured trip-log points. It is marked coming soon and is not included in launch-day Cruiser claims.
